If you want to learn graphics, photshop, etc, you should take an Mac (apple). Even tough you can do this on « ms-operating systems », mac is better for this kind of stuff. If you want to programm though, it will be a lot easier on a « ms-operating systems ».

Most programming languages are available on any operating systems. So whatever choice you make you probably won’t have to worry about that matter. For that purpose i prefer linux but that’s only a personal choice.
